Gold Coast Recreation & Sport Inc is a community-based organisation which provides sporting and recreational opportunities to people with a disability.

As the name suggests, we operate within the Gold Coast Region from Coomera to Coolangatta, from Bonogin to Burleigh.

First Aid Accident & Emergency are a 100% – Australian owned family business, our team are focused on saving lives. We do this by offering accredited 5-star First Aid training, industry specific defibrillator bundles and premium First Aid Kits.

As industry leaders, we are considered experts in emergency training and defibrillator supplies. We pride ourselves on teaching practical skills that are based on real-life situations. This is essential for every student and helps them to utilise the new-found skills in an emergency.

UniSport Australia (UniSport) is the peak governing body of university sport in Australia.  We promote and foster the importance of university sport as an integral part of university life at 43 member universities, who collectively represent more than one million students nationwide. 

Our primary focus is providing expertise and leadership in university sport. We deliver and integrate national policy that enhances and facilitates opportunities for competitive participation in sport for students at regional, national and international levels.

The Lions Club of Robina was formed in 1988 with both male and female members. The Club received its charter from Lions Clubs International in February 1989. Members range in age across the entire spectrum.

Robina Lions give back to the community by giving time to, and by raising funds for international, state or local community projects. However, being a Robina Lion is not all work. We also make time to enjoy ourselves by holding regular social events such as BBQs, dinners, Race Days, Theatre Nights and other special events.

1st Fives Rugby have a fun, exciting, non contact and structured play program which encourages children to engage in a team environment, building confidence and becoming active whilst learning the skills and values of the great game of Rugby Union.

Paddle Queensland Inc is responsible for the management and development of various paddle sports, through events, clubs, recreation, and related education. They have been delivering these types of activities through local councils for over 15 years and have established long term relationships with Brisbane City Council, Ipswich City Council, Logan City Council and Moreton Bay Regional Council.

We run a variety of recreational programs for local Councils, run by qualified guides with all canoeing/kayaking equipment provided. Please visit our Events Calendar and use the filter option for Recreation events.

SGC was established by a diverse group of community-minded Gold Coast business leaders who are passionate about actively connecting the city’s business and sport economy, in order to help position the city as a leading place to train, administer, and host world-class sporting events.

The primary role of Sports Gold Coast is to act as a conduit between sport and the organisation/s required in each case to help that sport develop. This may include interaction with business, government and/or educational facilities.

What is Varsity Lakes parkrun?

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you!

When is it? - Every Saturday at 7:00am.

Where is it?

The event takes place at Sports House, 337 Christine Ave, Varsity Lakes. See Course page for more details.

We worked closely with local sporting clubs, residents, schools and government bodies through the Varsity Lakes Sports House User Group to explore design concepts and generate ideas about how to manage the facility once Lend Lease’s role in the project was complete.
